A Mighty New Contender!

I promised news of the victory in the Annual Cutthroat Tunno Pie Competition and I’m delivering it, but it’s not a surprise. Yes, my nephew Chris somehow pulled off another win. (If we find out he’s putting controlled substances in his pies to make everyone vote for him, he’s in big trouble.)

But the big news is the First Runner Up. In second place, was my great-nephew Nate!

Yes, Nathaniel Tunno, five-years-old took second place. (Clearly we train ’em young.) He was not thrilled to come in second and had to be consoled, but that which doesn’t kill you makes you even better for next year’s competition.

Bob took third place and is the one in the photo holding Nate, probably so he doesn’t punch Chris.

We’ll be working with Chris on his humility for the next year, as winning five in a row does make it hard to be humble.  Perhaps we should consider term limits for pie contestants after this.  Congratulations Chris and look out, because Nate will be a serious contender in 2015.
Hey, if you haven’t checked out my online store yet, Why Not?  It’s fun, you’ll love it!

Rob, you never cease to amaze me. Thanks for reading and always writing something punny.

I could hardly wait for the results. I think term limits could prevent some favorites from becoming too crusty. I hope that wasn’t a crumby comment, but that’s the way I slice it!

Don, you’ve been reading too many of Rob’s comments. You both worry me, but thanks for always reading and taking the time to write. Your comments are never crumby.

Knowing how humble Chris is I’m sure the trophy is on the flagpole at Busch Stadium! He is however
    amazing with those Pumpkin pies!

I think we all need a Chris tutorial.
